Making Poop Palatable

Unread post by Sheryl Loch » Thu Oct 08, 2015 1:55 pm

Many people shun talking about their pooping habits and in fact some people are even embarrassed to talk about poop with their doctors, so how do you make poop a little more "palatable" for the squeamish?

You just have a cute unicorn pooping ice cream!

Don't believe me...just watch for yourself.

We all know some products are a little hard to have fun with. In fact, I have used the example of portable toilets and their suck trucks as examples of services and products that would be hard to "push". If I had only thought of something this far out of the box...I may have not said anything.

I think the key take away here is that no matter your product, if you are creative and daring, you can have a video that gets over 200,000 views in just a short time. The Squatty Potty has broken down barriers and made pooping something fun to talk about.

So next time you are stuck in a "How the hell do I make this more acceptable", just let yourself think of stupid may just find a fun way to spread you message and brand.

I watch YouTube videos.

I get total joy out of this video. It's a unicorn pooping ice cream! HILARIOUS!

On the business side of this though, it really is ingenious. Unicorns pooping rainbows has become a classic funny for many and this company capitalized on it. They took what we all love about unicorns and turned it around to promote their product. You are right Sheryl, they made an uncomfortable topic into a desirable video to watch that makes us laugh and then want to buy!
