Could you live here?

Unread post by Lany Sullivan » Tue Sep 22, 2015 9:16 am

I saw a set of pictures on Facebook from Jessica Maynard about this town in the Netherlands. I had to go Google it to see if it was real. It is!

Geithoorn, Netherlands is a town that has no roads, only bike paths and 4 miles of canals. It's a big tourist destination. Apparently, it's considered the "Venice of the Netherlands."

It really is beautiful and idyillic. I'd love to visit. I definitely would not be bothered to not have a car in a place like this.

I'm thinking I should send Kirstin over to scope it out for us since she lives across the pond. :D

Ha ha ha! I live in a pretty idyllic place, but the best "idyllic" is satisfaction and gratefulness for where we are at.

I lived in Puerto Vallarta for four years but I was miserable "in a vacation/resort destination" for a variety of reasons.

Sorry, preaching to myself! ;)

NOPE, not living in Giethoorn, Netherlands. The humidity would kill me if the winters didn't.

I watch YouTube videos.

You lived in Puerto Vallarta? That I did not know. Now I want to hear all about it...one of these days. Sounds like it could have been amazing, but sometimes amazing places are not where we are really supposed to be.

Is it humid there Sheryl? I haven't even thought about the weather because, of course, the pictures are so amazing. Things to think about when moving to other locations... weather!
