Can you use Chroma Key in Paint.net? Why yes you can and it is pretty easy if you have a great green screen picture.

Why would you use a green screen on an image? Because you have a crappy background and would like to put something cooler behind the main item or character.
Here we have a picture of Granny Fran at the Grammys with her award.

Now don’t tell anyone, but Fran did not go to the Grammys. I know you are hocked, but with the magic of Green screen and Chroma Key, she looks as if she was there.

Truth is, we use Green screen images a lot to have Granny “pictured” in places she has never really been. And while we do this with a puppet and stuffed animals, you can do it with any person or object. All you need is a green or blue screen picture and an image editor like Paint.net.

So now that you have all kinds of ideas about what you can do with your green screen pictures, lets see how easy it is to use the Chroma Key on Paint.net…

The hardest part is getting your lighting right for the picture to be taken. But once you have the image…the rest is easy!
