Check Flesch-Kincade Grade Level in Word

Unread post by Sheryl Loch » Sun Sep 06, 2015 1:12 am

If you would like to see what grade level your writing is suite for you can do that easily right in word. If you are one to type out post straight onto your blog, you can simply copy the post, paste in Word and then use the Flesch Scale that is built into Word.

Here is a short video showing you how to set this up.

Knowing what grade level your writing is seems very important when targeting your market. Writting at a higher grade level may be impressive to some but may cost you readers at the same time, so think about your readers before you post.

Wow! This is really interesting. Ok, I'll admit... I've never even heard of this before. I wonder if Marisa or Kitty have heard of it.

I find the point that you made about paying attention to your audience important, Sheryl. I totally agreee. You could alienate your audience if you talk over them or under them.
